For Maude, dance is first and foremost about joy, awareness, and presence. Her tango is
characterized by her refined foot and leg technique, precise body awareness, musical
sensitivity, and an elegant, grounded presence that unites strength with softness.
Drawing on her experience as a professional ballet dancer and trained body practitioner, she
combines her knowledge of classical ballet, Pilates, fascia training, yoga, and other body
techniques to guide tango dancers toward healthy, elegant, and organic movement. Respecting
the body’s natural anatomy and function, her approach encourages dancers to listen to their
bodies, move mindfully, and express themselves with ease and authenticity.
About her: Maude, nowadays based in Hamburg (Germany) began dancing at the age of four
and left her hometown Lausanne (Switzerland) at the age of fifteen to pursue her professional
ballet career supported by a Migros scholarship. She danced many years as a professional
ballet dancer at the Hamburg Ballet - John Neumeier as well as the Ballet of Kiel, performing
across Europe, America, Asia, and Australia.
Tango entered her life by coincidence when she was twenty-one; it was love at first sight!

of their footwork and leg movements. If you don’t have a barre, you can use a wall.
Adornos
Elevate your embellishments with detailed exercises and routines focusing on footwork,
legwork, and body placement. In this collection, we will develop a strong and healthy body
capable of performing beautiful adornos. We will explore a variety of options for adding
embellishments in different steps, from the most basic to the most complex. These steps
include walking, the cross, parada, ochos, giros, ocho cortado and calesita. Add personality
